Reichelt Family Basement
We’ve spent the last month working on design plans for the ultimate family basement. The Reichelts moved into a new home this past winter and were at a loss when it came to decide what to do with their large finished basement. With 2 teens and 2 pre-teens in the house, Mom and Dad wanted to make their basement THE place to be for both teenagers and adults! They asked us to think outside the box and create a fun, modern space that their children and their children’s friends would want to hang out in for years to come.

The space had a natural division based on two structural columns, so we used one side of the room (right) for lounging and the other side (left) for gaming. Two special projects will include a custom built-in dining table featured in the upper center portion of the plan. A custom banquet was designed to maximize seating with the addition of storage below (bottom right corner). Needless to say, we’re excited to see the entire renovation unfold – and with any luck we’ll be invited to the basement’s grand opening party!
